Genevieve Flores - Creative Director
Hi! I’m Genevieve!
I am a singer and creative exploring the intersection of art and nature. I believe that every human is uniquely charged to create the storied worlds that we place ourselves in. As a kid, I would spend hours fully in character as a Native American—perhaps tethered by my Aztecan Ancestry. Entire weekends would zoom by as I’d eat wild roots, bake mud pies, and ride through poppy fields on my invisible horse. I had a deep connection with the land then and conviction to nurture it now. How? Through art, self-study, and planting seeds of eco-consciousness in kids and adults! These are the ways in which I am uniquely able to nurture our Earth at this time in my life.
I have enjoyed captaining improv teams, leading meditations, creating my own one-woman shows, and above all, collaborating with other creatives who yearn to express a semblance of what it feels like to live on this Earth. I dream of galvanizing a community of artists inspired by nature to create a butterfly effect of people being empowered by their responsibility to Mother Nature, not frozen in hopelessness. She’d like to thank her friends and family for believing in the Let’s Be eARThical vision and coming along for the ride.
Currently, I am back in my hometown of San Diego, CA, after three years of living in Prague, Czech Republic. I work as Program Manager for Athena, a 25+ year Women’s Leadership Organization. Reach out if you would like to collaborate!
Ayla Clark - Director of Comms
Hi Everyone! My name is Ayla Clark!
To understand my involvement in Let’s be eARThical, you need to know a little about how I grew up. I was one of the lucky kids whose family had a patio boat parked at our pristine local lake. Every summer was a blur of blisteringly hot sun, crisp cool water up the nose, and feeling truly found in the nature around me. In beautiful Northern California, we’re surrounded by mountains, lakes, rivers, and campsites, all of which we sunk our teeth into and respected with our whole hearts. Growing up in awe of the nature around me, it was a no-brainer to join the efforts of Genevieve on Let’s be eARThical.
Nature has been my greatest friend, healer, and teacher, the place I feel most myself, and to work on a project that directly supports her, the way she’s always supported me, has given me a purpose beyond my hopes and dreams. My wish is for everyone to connect with nature, to feel her breathe as we all do. It’s nothing less than magic! Thank you to Gennie, my dear friend and brilliant innovator, for trusting me with the vision you conjured in our sunny Prague apartment. I’m forever grateful to be involved in this program and so excited to see the impact we’re making in people’s lives! Thank you all for reading and please, go breathe some fresh air :)
